SELMKNOW YOUR SCORE

What is my CLB or NCLC level?

Enter your results. This converts them into the official Canadian benchmark levels and shows which skill is holding your score down.

What this does, and what it deliberately does not

It converts scores you already have, and it shows the governing level — your lowest skill, because that is the one Express Entry uses.

It does not compute a full CRS score. A complete score needs your age, education, work experience, spousal factors and any provincial nomination. A widget that guessed at those would hand you a number you might act on. For the complete figure, use the official IRCC Comprehensive Ranking System tool.

It also does not predict a score you have not sat yet. That is what the app does — with a confidence range, and with its error published. How the score is built →

Where these numbers come from

The IELTS General Training, CELPIP-General and TEF Canada conversions are transcribed from the IRCC test-equivalency charts. For TCF Canada only the NCLC 7 band is offered here — the threshold that carries the French bonus — because that is the band we hold verified. For other TCF levels, use the official IRCC chart rather than an estimate from us.

NCLC and CLB bands have ceilings as well as floors. A TCF listening result of 503 is NCLC 8, not NCLC 7 — this calculator reflects that.
